About John
I'm an Engineering Manager at Klaviyo, where my team is responsible for moving twelve billion emails a month. Before that, I spent thirty years building software — as an engineer, an architect, and eventually a CTO.
Along the way I spent four years teaching formal logic at the community college level. That experience — watching smart people reason badly, and then watching them get better — is what eventually became my first book, Logic in the Wild.
I hold a Master of Theology (Research) from Edinburgh Theological Seminary and a BA in Religious Studies from Palm Beach Atlantic College. I've served as a bivocational pastor, college instructor, youth minister, and adult Christian education teacher. My wife Naomi and I have been married thirty years and have four children.
I write about theology, Scripture, logic, technology, and whatever else demands attention. You can find that writing at ThatMoodyGuy.com and in my newsletter, With All My Mind.
